Transport & storage of bulk liquids and gases holds no secrets for me. I have extensive experience with fossil fuels such as petrol, diesel and LPG. I have hands-on experience with biofuels such as ethanol and bio-diesel and have also worked with a wide variety of chemicals.

 

In recent years, hydrogen carriers have become opportune. The storage and transshipment of ammonia and methanol in particular is booming. I have many years of experience with methanol and with ammonia I have gained a lot of experience in recent years.

 

Ports & Terminals

 

I have worked in many different ports, especially in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This has given me valuable experience in many different countries and diverse cultures, ranging from northern Scandinavia to sunny sub-Saharan Africa.

 

In these many ports I have worked with storage and transshipment terminals with various functions ranging from import and distribution of petrol, diesel, jet fuel, LPG or fuel oil to consolidation and trade of products ranging from crude oil to chemicals.

 

Hydrogen

 

Hydrogen is currently undergoing strong development as an energy carrier for transport and industry. In particular, green hydrogen produced by means of electrolysis with solar and wind energy is attracting attention. Both electrolysis of hydrogen in the Netherlands and transport from distant countries using hydrogen carriers have my keen interest.

 

Recently I was involved in a number of projects on the production of green hydrogen by means of electrolysis. I also have experience with the large-scale storage and transhipment of hydrogen carriers such as ammonia, methanol and LOHCs.
